SCRAPS OF ELEGANCE KIT CLUB

HI Everyone,

Well I have been waiting for my Scraps of Elegance March Kit to arrive. I always get excited when I know it is around the time it comes. This month it is called "Floral Fantasy". It is full of beautiful papers from Graphic 45, Fabscraps, Embellishments from Graphic 45, Prima , Ranger, May Arts, Reneabouquets, and to top it off some beautiful black lace. I am looking forward to creating some lovely scrapbook pages with this kit.

I find for me this is the best way to buy my papers and embellishments to do my pages, as I live in a small town which does not have a scrapbooking shop, so all I buy is from the internet, and sometimes things aren't quite what they seem when they arrive. I have always looked forward and loved my Scraps of Elegance Kit arriving each month.

My next page will be using the papers and embellishments from this kit.

THURSDAY - EMBELLISHMENT IDEAS

Here are some great ideas for making your own embellishments for your scrapbooking pages. Adding your own embellishments to compliment your page is very satisfying and adds your own special touch to you layouts. Also saves you some money you could spend on other nice goodies for your stash.

Hope you enjoy these ideas and make some of them for your pages.

AUNTY

Aahhhhhh new camera. I have just got to learn how to use all the functions now. Took hubby quite a while after much internet surfing to decide what brand and type (we) I wanted. Oh for the good old days when I walked into the camera store had a look at a few cameras there and then, and decided what I was going to buy. So after having to look at so many pieces of paper with information on about cameras I was nearly ready to pull my hair out. So gave him the ultimatum last Friday - I am buying a new camera on Saturday. So here we are first time used on one of my pages. Should get some nice photos  now. Monday today and I am posting a page I have done as a surprise gift for my Aunt and am just waiting for  Lulu's Wooden Box Frame to arrive to finish it off.

This photo was taken in the 1960's and coloured by the lady who lived over the road from use. I used to love going over and I would see her colouring in black and white photos. It was an art back then.

Nothing much to explain, I just wanted to make it very pretty for my Aunt. I hope she likes it.

Flowers are by Prima, Pearl leaves by ZVA. I added a few charms in the corner and used Tim Holtz Crackle Distress Paint for the chipboard word and swirl.

Stampendous Mica Flakes used in the Corner to give it a lovely sparkle.

NANNY

Hi Everyone,

THE WIND PLAYS SONGS

Today I am featuring a page scrapbooked by one of my very talented ladies Anne who attends my scrapbooking group on Saturday Afternoons. This page is a very special page she has done for her daughter as a birthday present and the page has been placed in a beautiful white Lulu's Frame. I love the beautiful tones of aqua and white used in the LO. Anne's use of jewels, pearls and Fairy Dust really made this page jump out at you.

I also love the photo in its lovely sepia tones........The photo was a very large photo which took up most of the page, with not a lot of working space, this made the embellishment of flowers the main focal point on the page with all the work on the LH side.
Very well done Anne. The page looks stunning!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure your daughter will love it...........
