Treasured Memories

Hello Everyone,

This photo is my favourite photo of my grandmother. I just love her sitting on the horse in her pretty dress with her brother standing beside her. I had an idea that I wanted the photo to look like a picture hanging on a wall. I picked the wood panels as it matched the old wood panels on the shed behind my grandmother. It is a page which i scrapped from Kaszazz products and stamps. I love the old family heritage photos and I am lucky enough to have a good collection of heritage photos. My family was poor and came out from England, when my grandmother was a small baby, so I am thankful for them, as I should imagine it would have been hard for them to have photos taken of the family. When I first started scrapbooking 20 years ago or more the first album I did was  Creative Memories Album with my Heritage photos, telling the story of my family. One of my photos dates back more than 105 years. Today my album is in pristine condition and my children love to look through the album when they come up for a visit. Gee the style of my scrapbooking has changed. I hope you enjoy my Layout.

Best Day

Hi Everyone,

Some time ago I scrapped the page below and card for a special reason, and although it was very popular nothing happened regarding it, so today I thought I would put up a post showing you my work.

At the time I absolutely loved doing every piece of this LO. I think it was the bright colours of the papers that I do not usually use. I loved the Peacock Feather Stamp and loved using the White Embossing Powder to bring out the beautiful shape of the feathers. I found at the time that all the white stamping and embellishments just stood out on the page. The flowers are small white crochet flowers with a rose brad in the middle. It is funny how something I thought would be so popular, did not appeal to other people. Oh well this LO is one for the album.

Fool Proof Way to Line up Dies and Stamps by Heartfelt Creations

Hi Everyone,

Well it is warming up here in far North Queensland and summer will soon be upon us. I often have a little trouble when lining up Stamps with Dies and today I am featuring a video tutorial to help with this by Heartfelt Creations. This video demonstrates the Heartfelt Creations technique of lining up the stamps with their dies. You will learn how to create a template to line up a single stamp, how to line up and cut out 12 flowers at once and lining up the stamps with dies that have cut lines on the edges. These techniques will have you die-cutting stamped images in no time!

Hope you enjoy this video.

Baby Boy

Good Afternoon Everyone and happy first day of spring to you all. Introducing to you my new Grandson. You will be seeing a lot of him in the near future. I will have to get into the groove with boy pages, as for a long time now I have only been doing mostly girly pages. The paper used in this layout is from the Kaszazz Range - Early Years this being called Prince. The Baby Boy stamps are also from Kaszazz as well as the Pearl Flourish on the top of the page. Using a Martha Stewart punch I punched out randomly two places on the paper, just to loose that square look, although I wanted straight lines on this page, and of course the bow is from my very favourite die - Kaszazz Bow Maker. I seem to get so much use from this die. Flowers are from the Prima Range, and the colour was a perfect match to the paper. On the Baby Boy words I have stamped them out with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Weathered Wood. A little piece of muslin behind the flowers softened them somewhat. Well I hope you enjoy my page and I hope you have a great first day of Spring.

I also have a second Blog showing pages and cards I make solely with Kaszazz Products. If you would like to have a peek hop on over to www.kerryskaszazzkorner.blogspot.com

Flip-Out Page

Hello Everyone,

I have been rather busy lately with other commitments but today I am featuring a Flip-Out Page I have done on my Dad. This page was done with papers My Minds Eye, and I am not sure the name of them but I think they may have been from a collection called "Lost and Found". I used seven pieces of the different papers in this collection along with a Brown linen cardstock.

Matching Brads and titles were used and different ribbons that matched, laces, ric-rac and rhinestones. I had bought these all together at the time. I also inked their edges of the paper with Tim Holtz, Scattered Straw Distress Ink. This page was rather difficult to do, but I am so pleased with the outcome.

Hope you enjoy this page.
